It doesn’t matter how much you love your job or how excited you are about calling London home; if your children are relocating with you, they will be your priority. Choosing a school that matches your family’s requirements will be one of the most important decisions you make during your move.

For buyers with children, the school district is often one of the top priorities when choosing a new house.

73% of surveyed people indicated good school boundaries were important to their home search. The survey found that home buyers in sellers' markets were willing to compromise and give up two of the top most desirable home features - a garage (19% of buyers who prioritised schools) or an updated kitchen (17%), to buy a home in their desired school district.

In addition, buyers said they gave up on their preference for a large garden, desired number of bedrooms or an outdoor living area to get into a location within the school boundaries they wanted.
