  • Downham is a district of south-east London and is located north of Bromley and south of Catford.
  • Before 1920, the area had no houses, apart from a shooting range close to Rangefield Road.
  • Downham is surrounded by meadows, woodlands and parks.

  • The Downham Tavern used to have a place as Britain’s largest pub. Built in 1930, it could accommodate 1,000.
